Pelvic Floor Recovery Using Hypopressive Breathing
Dr. Somer Nicole Radina is a Doctor of Physical Therapy who teaches a breathing technique known as hypopressive breathing. This is a revolutionary breath and postural method that decreases pressure in the thoracic, abdominal, and pelvic cavities. This is the exact opposite of what traditional core work (i.e. crunches, planks, etc.) does, which actually increases pressure in those areas.
Implementing this breathing technique has tons of benefits, including:
– Improved posture and reduction of pain
– Improved breathing and energy
– Increased sexual well-being
– Prepares the body for pregnancy
– Pelvic floor restoration
– Waistline reduction
– Better functioning and more developed core
– Improved athletic performance
Dr. Somer Nicole teaches this method and hosts workshops internationally. If you are interesting in attending one of her workshops, you can find more information on Somer’s Instagram page (@yogadoctors.tv), Facebook page (YogaDoctors.TV), or contact her directly through email at [email protected].
